Alright, so you wanna know when that wrestling stuff, the WWE, is comin’ back to New Orleans, huh? Well, let me tell ya, it ain’t always easy to figure these things out. These city folks, they do things differently than us, ya know.
I heard some talk, some whisperin’ ’bout how them wrestling fellas, they were gonna be here and there, all over the place. They call it a “Road to WrestleMania,” like it’s some kinda big journey or somethin’. Sounds fancy, but it just means they’re goin’ from town to town, wrestlin’ and whatnot.
Now, I ain’t no expert on this wrestlin’ business. I seen it on TV a few times, all them fellas jumpin’ around and pretendin’ to hit each other. My grandson, he likes it though. He keeps up with all this stuff. He’s always yellin’ ’bout “The Rock” and some fella named Heyman. Said somethin’ about them changin’ things up, not bein’ all goody-goody anymore. Said somethin’ ’bout it bein’ the “end of the PG era” whatever that means.
Anyway, back to when they’re comin’ here. I heard tell they announced a bunch of shows, 13 of ’em, I think. They said tickets were goin’ on sale on a Tuesday. But they didn’t say nothin’ ’bout New Orleans specifically, not right then and there. You gotta be patient with these things, ya know. They like to keep ya guessin’.
- So, first thing you gotta do is keep your ears open. Listen for any announcements on the TV or the radio. They usually make a big fuss about it when they’re comin’ to town.
- Second thing, check that internet thingy. My grandson, he’s always lookin’ at stuff on that “Smoothie King Center” website. Says they have all the events listed there. He says it’s where they have concerts and other shows too. Sounds like a busy place.
- Third, you could ask around. Maybe somebody at the grocery store or the church knows somethin’. Word gets around in this town, even if it takes a little while.
I did hear somethin’ ’bout “Smackdown” comin’ to the Smoothie King Center on a Friday. Now, I don’t know if that’s the same as that “Road to WrestleMania” thing or somethin’ different. Like I said, this wrestlin’ stuff is complicated. Too many names and dates to keep track of for an old lady like me. But if you’re lookin’ for tickets or information, that’s where I’d start lookin’.
Seems like they’re always plannin’ stuff way in advance. They announced those 13 shows for the “Road to WrestleMania,” and that ain’t even ’til next year, 2025. So, if they ain’t comin’ to New Orleans for that, maybe they’ll come later. They like big cities, ya know. And New Orleans, well, it’s a pretty big city, even if it don’t feel like it sometimes.
My grandson, he told me they got new owners or somethin’ now. Some big company called TKO. Maybe that’s why they’re doin’ things differently. Maybe they’ll come to New Orleans more often now, or maybe less. Who knows? These big companies, they do what they want, and we just gotta go along with it.
So, the bottom line is, I don’t have a for sure date for ya. But keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, and you’ll find out eventually. They always announce it sooner or later. And when they do, you can bet your bottom dollar that my grandson will be the first one to know. He’ll be yellin’ and jumpin’ around like those fellas on TV, and then he’ll tell me, and then I guess I’ll know too.
Just remember to check the Smoothie King Center website and keep an ear out for announcements. That’s the best advice I can give ya. And if you do find out, come on back and tell me, will ya? I’m curious now.
