Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this crazy experience I had with the Women’s Golf Augusta 2024. You won’t believe it!
It all started when I saw some news about the Augusta National Women’s Amateur celebrating its fifth anniversary in 2024. I was like, “Wow, five years already? I gotta be a part of this!” So, I started digging to find out when it was happening.
Turns out, it was scheduled for April 3-6, 2024. I immediately marked it on my calendar. I started to check out who was playing. There are players from 18 different countries and six continents! Even Tsubasa Kajitani and Anna Davis, who won in 2021 and 2022, were playing this year.
Then, I found out that the first 36 holes would be played on April 3 and 4 at the Champions Retreat Golf Club. I got excited because I have some friends who have played there before, and they were telling me how great the course is.

- April 3: Got to the Champions Retreat Golf Club. Saw a bunch of players practicing. The atmosphere was electric!
- April 4: Watched some more golf. The competition was intense!
- April 5: This was the day everyone got to practice at Augusta National. What an honor for these women! I imagined how they felt.
I also learned that Augusta National used to be a male-only club until 2012, when they finally let in their first two women members. It’s about time! This made me even prouder to be supporting this event.
Getting to the Final Round
The final round was on Saturday, April 6th. I made my way to Augusta National. It was really cool to be there, where the Masters is played. This year, they changed the course a bit. They lengthened the second hole by 10 yards, making it 585 yards long! It was the longest hole on the course.
I was so focused on the final round. It was breezy and firm, which made it super challenging. One golfer, I saw a name Lottie Woad of England, won the game in the end! It was a pretty unforgettable moment when she celebrated with her caddie Steve Robinson.
Being there, seeing these amazing women compete at such a prestigious course, it was just something else. I felt so inspired by their skill, their determination, and just the whole atmosphere of the event. It was definitely a highlight of my year, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s tournament!
