Hey guys, it’s been a while! I’ve been meaning to figure out this whole “Thursday Night Football” thing, and today I finally got around to it. It’s a bit of a mess, to be honest, so I thought I’d share my findings with you all.
So, I started by digging around to see if there’s even a game on tonight. Turns out, there’s no “Thursday Night Football” game this week because the 2025 NFL playoffs are starting up on Saturday, January 11th. They’re doing the wild-card round over three days, which is kind of cool.
Then I remembered something about “Thursday Night Football” not being on regular TV anymore. I checked, and yeah, that’s still the case. It’s not on broadcast TV now.
Next, I wanted to find out which teams were playing when there is a game. One search mentioned the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 12 game, so that’s something to keep in mind for the future.
Okay, here’s where it gets interesting. I found out that “Thursday Night Football” is now exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. What? Yep, you need to have Prime to watch it. They’ve got Al Michaels doing play-by-play and Kirk Herbstreit as an analyst. Sounds like a decent team, I guess.
I also stumbled across the full 2024 “Thursday Night Football” schedule. Apparently, there are even some college football games mixed in there, like the Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Notre Dame. But again they are not on TV. They are on Amazon Prime.
Key Findings:
- No “Thursday Night Football” game this week due to the playoffs.
- “Thursday Night Football” is NOT on regular TV anymore.
- It’s exclusively on Amazon Prime Video now.
- You need an Amazon Prime membership to watch.
- They started this whole Amazon Prime thing back in 2021.
So there you have it. It took me a while to piece it all together. If you want to watch “Thursday Night Football,” you gotta get yourself an Amazon Prime subscription. I’m still on the fence about it myself, but at least now we know what the deal is. Hope this helps you guys out!
It’s all such a mess, really. I ended up spending way too long on this, but at least I got to the bottom of it. It would be a lot easier if they had just kept it simple, right?
Anyway, that’s my little adventure for today. Let me know if you guys have any other burning questions you want me to investigate. I’m always up for a good challenge!
See you guys next time, have a good one!
