Well, I tell you, folks, this girl Taylor Robertson, she sure can shoot that ball from way out there! You know, back in the day, folks wouldn’t even think about throwin’ a ball so far. But this gal, she done broke records, big records. Over at Oklahoma, she made herself a name, shootin’ all them 3-pointers. Matter of fact, she set a whole new record in NCAA Division I for most 3s made, and that’s no small feat, let me tell ya.
Now, I heard she hit that 498th 3-pointer against Iowa State. And that ain’t all – she kept on goin’. By the end, she got 503 of them 3s, and I reckon that’s somethin’ nobody can take away from her. She done made at least one 3-pointer in 62 games straight. Can you imagine that? Every game, she’s hittin’ from way out there, game after game. That takes some serious skill, let me tell ya.
But here’s the thing, she didn’t make it to the WNBA, not this time around. Folks sayin’ she’s a bit one-dimensional, meanin’ she’s really good at shootin’ 3s, but not much else. But that’s the thing about basketball now, ain’t enough spots for all the good players. The WNBA only got 12 teams, so not much room for folks who can just do one thing. But shoot, if you ask me, shootin’ 3s like that should be more than enough to get on a team. Folks missin’ out on a girl who can change a game real quick.
So, she’s headin’ over to Germany now, gonna play for the Gisa Lions MBC. That’s in the Toyota DBBL, which I reckon is their big basketball league. It’s a good opportunity for her, you know? She gets to keep playin’ and show folks what she can do. Maybe one day we’ll see her back in the States, who knows? But for now, Germany’s got themselves a top-notch shooter.
Now, I ain’t no expert or nothin’, but I reckon Taylor Robertson’s story ain’t over yet. She broke records with the Sooners, even passed a player who was a top pick in the WNBA, and she did it in fewer games, too. She’s tall, standin’ at 6-foot, and with that kind of height and shootin’ skill, I bet she’ll find her way back into the conversation.
Let me tell ya somethin’ else – she even met Stephen Curry. Now, if that ain’t a sign of how good she is, I don’t know what is. When you got a shooter like Curry recognizin’ your talent, you know you’re doin’ somethin’ right. So, maybe the WNBA passed her up for now, but I’m bettin’ she’ll be just fine. I’ll keep watchin’ to see where she ends up.
So, that’s Taylor Robertson for ya. She’s already made her mark, and I don’t reckon she’s done yet. Germany’s just the next stop for this sharpshooter. Who knows where she’ll end up next? All I know is, when you got someone who can shoot 3s like that, you better keep your eye on ‘em.
Taylor Robertson is a name folks gonna remember, whether she’s in the WNBA or not. You don’t just break NCAA records and fade away. She’ll be back, mark my words.
