Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get a decent deal on watching WNBA games without breaking the bank, you know? I mean, I’m a big fan, but these subscriptions can get crazy expensive. Then I remembered something about military discounts, and since I served, I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
First thing I did was hop on the internet and start looking around. I saw that the WNBA does offer a military discount, which got me pretty excited. It’s not every day you find a good deal like that, especially for something you really enjoy. Turns out, the discount is a sweet 30% off the League Pass subscription. Not too shabby, right?
So, I found this site, GOVX, that apparently handles these kinds of discounts for military folks. I had to sign up, which was no big deal, just your usual name, email, and password stuff. Once I was in, I had to verify my military status. They make you jump through a few hoops, uploading your ID and all that, but hey, it’s worth it for 30% off, I guess.
After the verification was done, which took a little while, I finally got the green light. I went back to the WNBA League Pass page, and sure enough, there was an option to apply the discount through GOVX. Clicked on that, logged into my GOVX account again, and boom! The discount was applied.
With the discount, the price went down quite a bit. I mean, a regular League Pass is $34.99 a year, which isn’t horrible, but with 30% off, it’s even better. It covers a bunch of live games that aren’t on regular TV, so you don’t miss out.
Here’s the kicker though:
- Blackout Restrictions: Some games are blacked out because of local TV deals. It’s a bummer, but you can still listen to the audio of those games, which is something.
- Device Limitations: You can’t just watch on any device. There are some limits, so you gotta check which ones work before you commit.
Honestly, even with those limitations, it’s a pretty solid deal for a WNBA fan. I get to watch a ton of games, support the league, and save some money while doing it. If you’re military or a vet, I definitely recommend checking it out. It’s a nice little perk for serving, and hey, who doesn’t love a good discount?
It took a bit of doing with all the signing up and verifying, but it was worth it in the end. Now I can kick back, relax, and enjoy the games without feeling like I’m getting ripped off. That’s a win in my book.
