Okay, so the other day I was trying to figure out something about this guy, Phil Isenbarger, I think it was for some work-related stuff. I’m digging around, right? And what I learned is this name seems kind of, I don’t know, common? Anyway, I started off just by typing his name into the search bar. You know, the usual.
The first few things that popped up were mostly news articles. Philippine news, mostly, covering current events, top stories, and the like. Not what I needed. Then I saw a blurb about a movie or something, “In a time when dreams seem out of reach.” Sounded interesting, but again, not what I was looking for. So, I kept scrolling.
Then there was some stuff in a language I didn’t recognize, talking about “gezamenlijke gezagsuitoefening.” Turns out it’s Dutch, and it’s got something to do with joint custody of a child. I definitely don’t need that information for my work. I even found some stuff about Philippine Airlines, with flight status and tracking for flight #2521. I guess that could be useful if I was traveling, but nope, not this time.
I even stumbled upon some coding stuff, like flashcards talking about “binary format” and “CodePlex.” Honestly, it was all going way over my head. I mean, I can handle basic computer stuff, but this was getting into serious programmer territory.

At this point, I was thinking, “Phil Isenbarger, why are you so hard to pin down?” I decided to switch gears and try a different search angle. Maybe adding “movie” or “film” to the search would help. That did help, but I found too many different movies. I was able to find one of the movies which had a song called “Getcha Head in the Game” in it. I also saw a bible verse, Philippians 2:2 I think, “Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ…” That was not expected!
Finally, after all that, I felt I had hit a wall. It felt like a wild goose chase, and a waste of time. I guess this is why we have to know specifically what we are looking for. Because it is very easy to go down the rabbit hole.
