Today, I’m gonna talk about my little project with MLB mini baseball bats. It all started when I was just messing around, trying to find something cool to do with my spare time. I thought, “Why not try making some mini baseball bats?”
So, I started gathering some info about baseball bats. I found that youth bats are usually made of wood or metal, and they’re around 26 to 32 inches long. I learned that the longest bats used in MLB were 36 inches, and the shortest were just over 32 inches. And the weight of these bats can vary a lot, from over 50 ounces to as light as 29 ounces. Pretty interesting stuff, huh?
Then, I came across this thing called Baum Bats. They are said to be approved for almost all tournaments and leagues. I thought, “Okay, that’s good to know.” I also saw a bunch of MLB mini bats online, and they looked pretty neat. They’re like the perfect thing for a baseball fan’s collection.
I found some listings for personalized mini bats, where you can get names engraved on them. And there were these unfinished mini bats, too, which are great for DIY projects. I thought, “That’s what I need!” I got myself a pack of 6-inch unfinished mini baseball bats.
When they arrived, I started playing around with them. I tried painting some, just for fun. I used some basic colors, nothing too fancy. I also thought about engraving names on them, but I didn’t have the right tools for that. So, I just stuck to painting for now.
My Process:

I think anyone can do this. It’s a simple and fun way to express your creativity. Plus, if you’re a baseball fan, it’s a neat way to show your love for the sport. You can personalize the bats, paint them in your team’s colors, or just do whatever you want. It’s all up to you. I also have a plan to use it as gifts to my friends next time when I go to see a match.
