Alright, let’s gab about this golf thing, the one with the fancy cars and big money. You know, the golf BMW prize money thing. Folks keep yappin’ about it, so I figured I’d chime in.
Now, I ain’t no expert, mind you. I’m just an old gal who’s seen a thing or two. But even I can see them fellas are playin’ for a whole heap of cash. They call it the BMW somethin’-somethin’, and the winner, bless his heart, gets a pile of money bigger than my whole house! Heard tell it’s over a million dollars! Can you imagine? A million dollars just for hittin’ a little white ball around a field! Lord have mercy.
They say this BMW thing is a big deal. One of them big-shot tournaments, you know? Like the Super Bowl, but for golf. And let me tell ya, them golfers, they’re serious about their game. They practice and practice, swingin’ them sticks all day long. I guess if I was gettin’ paid that kind of money, I’d be swingin’ sticks too!
This Keegan Bradley fella, they say he won one of these BMW shindigs. Good for him, I say. Probably bought himself a new tractor and a whole mess of chickens with that money. And that Green gal, she won some money too. Not as much as the fellas, mind you, but still a pretty penny. Seems like these golf folks are doin’ alright for themselves.
- They got this tournament, see, the BMW PGA Championship. That’s where the big bucks are.
- And then there’s this other one, the BMW Championship. Sounds fancy, huh?
- Winner gets a whole pile of cash, like, over a million dollars! That’s enough to make your head spin.
Now, some folks are sayin’ all this money is changin’ the game. They say it ain’t about the sport no more, it’s just about the cash. I don’t know about all that. Seems to me them golfers still gotta hit the ball straight and sink them putts. Money or no money, that ain’t easy. But I reckon a little extra cash in your pocket never hurt nobody.
They play this thing at a place called Wentworth Club, over in Surrey. Sounds like a fancy place, with all them rich folks and their fancy cars. I bet they got good food there too. Maybe even some of them little cucumber sandwiches with the crusts cut off. Now, those are tasty.
This year, the winner of that BMW PGA Championship thingy, he’s gonna get somethin’ like 1.53 million dollars! That’s American dollars, mind you, not that funny lookin’ money they use over in Europe. Can you believe it? 1.53 million dollars! I could live like a queen on that kind of money. Probably buy myself a whole new set of teeth and a fancy hat with feathers. And maybe a golf cart, just for fun.
This DP World Tour, they the ones puttin’ on this show. Seems like they got plenty of money to throw around. Good for them, I say. As long as they keep givin’ it to them golfers, I ain’t complainin’. It’s entertainment, after all. And who don’t like a little entertainment?
So, there you have it. My two cents on this golf BMW prize money thing. It’s a lot of money, that’s for sure. But them golfers work hard for it, I reckon. And as long as they keep hittin’ them balls and makin’ them putts, folks will keep watchin’. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it?
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about this BMW golf tournament prize thing. It’s a lot of money, that’s for sure. More than most folks see in a lifetime. I reckon those golfers earned it, though. Swinging them clubs all day long, gotta be tiring.
