Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about this young fella, Tyler Onyedim. They say he’s gonna be in that NFL draft thingy, the 2025 one, they call it. Folks keep jabberin’ about it, so I figured I’d try and make sense of it all for ya, even though I don’t know much about this football stuff.
So, who is this Tyler Onyedim fella anyway? Seems like he plays defense for some college team, Iowa State, they say. He’s a big fella, strong as an ox, I reckon. They call him a “defensive lineman.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Basically, he’s the one tryin’ to stop those other fellas from runnin’ with the ball. He tackles ’em, knocks ’em down, that sort of thing.
Last year, they say he did a pretty good job of it too. Forty-two tackles they said. Nineteen of ’em all by himself. And two sacks. Now, I ain’t sure what a sack is in this football game, but it sounds important. Probably means he caught that fella with the ball real good. He’s good at stoppin’ the run, that’s for sure. Folks say he needs to get better at chasin’ after the quarterback, whoever that is. But he’s workin’ on it, I hear.
- Tackles: 42
- Solo Tackles: 19
- Sacks: 2
Now, this “NFL draft,” it’s like a big to-do where all these football teams pick new players. It’s a whole big thing, they got numbers and charts and all sorts of stuff. They even got folks guessin’ where Tyler will get picked. They call it a “projection.” Like they got a crystal ball or somethin’.

They got all these folks, more than 3000 of ’em every year they look at. And they got all sorts of information on ’em, more numbers than I can count. They look at how fast they run, how strong they are, all that stuff. They even look at who their teams played against. It’s a whole lot of fuss, if you ask me.
But see, this draft thing, it ain’t so simple. They got rules and such. Like, this young fella, Ryan Williams, they talkin’ about. He’s only 17! Can’t even go into the draft until 2027! Imagine that! Gotta wait till you’re a grown man, I guess. And then, if two teams got the same record, they gotta figure out who picks first. Somethin’ about who played tougher teams. It’s all a bit confusing, to be honest.
And this year, they say there ain’t as many young fellas leavin’ college early to join the NFL. Only 58 of ’em. That’s the least since way back when. Seems like they changed the rules about how much money these youngsters can make, so they ain’t in such a hurry to leave school no more. Smart, if you ask me. Education’s important, even if you’re gonna be runnin’ around with a football.
Anyways, back to Tyler. They keep track of where folks think he’ll get picked in this draft. They call it a “mock draft.” Like a pretend draft, I guess. They got websites and newspapers and all sorts of places talkin’ about it. Seems like everyone’s got an opinion on where this boy’s gonna end up.
So, where will Tyler Onyedim go in the draft? Well, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Nobody knows for sure. But they say he’s got the tools, the size, the strength. He just needs to keep workin’ hard, keep learnin’. And who knows, maybe he’ll be a big star one day. Or maybe he’ll just be a good, solid player. Either way, it seems like he’s got a bright future ahead of him. At least, that’s what all these football experts are sayin’. Me? I just hope he stays healthy and makes his mama proud. That’s all that really matters in the end, ain’t it? And all this NFL draft talk and mock drafts and projections? Well, it’s just a bunch of folks guessin’, if you ask me. But it sure does give folks somethin’ to talk about. And that’s somethin’, I suppose.
Folks are always lookin’ for news about him, checkin’ updates and rumors and such. They want to know what’s happenin’ with this Tyler Onyedim. He’s a name folks are rememberin’, see? He’s got folks talkin’ and that’s what counts in this here world. You gotta make a name for yourself, and it looks like this young fella is doin’ just that, playin’ college football and gettin’ ready for the big leagues. The National Football League they call it. Sounds important. He must be somethin’ special. So we’ll be keepin’ an eye on him. Seein’ where he goes and what he does. Good luck to him, I say. He’ll need it in that rough and tumble world of professional football. It ain’t for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.
