Well, let me tell you about this Flag City soccer tournament thing. It’s a big ol’ soccer game, you know. Lots of folks come from all over to play and watch. They call it the Flag City Classic, fancy name, huh? This year it’s gonna be in May, from the 3rd to the 5th, I reckon.
They got it at this place, Emory Adams Park. Sounds important, don’t it? It’s in Findlay, Ohio. Heard it’s a nice place. This here tournament, it ain’t the first one. They been doing this for, shoot, more than ten years. This year is the 13th, they say. It is a team-friendly event with excellent competition.
Now, this soccer game, it’s for all kinds of folks, young and old. They got these teams, and you gotta be signed up right and proper. Something about US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer. Sounds complicated to me. But if you’re in it, you’re in it, I guess.

I heard you can even play on more than one team. Imagine that! Running around like a chicken with its head cut off, from one field to another. But hey, if that’s what you like, more power to ya. They call them “guest players” or something. I don’t know, it’s all beyond me. And they have teams for boys and girls, U13, U-this, U-that. It is kinda inclusive, I have to admit.
They got this thing, Cardinal Soccer Club. Sounds like a bunch of birds to me. But it’s for the kids, you see. They help ’em learn to play and all that. It’s a good thing, I suppose. Keeping kids busy and outta trouble. And they gonna be in this Flag City tournament, too. This is for kids in Mentor area. Maybe some parents can take a break and watch the little ones kick the ball around.
They got these apps now, too. For your phone. You can find out everything about this soccer tournament on your phone. Times, places, who’s playing who. Back in my day, we just showed up and hoped for the best. But I guess this is easier. If you can figure out how to use them darn things, that is.
And maps! They got maps for everything these days. You can look at a map and see where everything is. I reckon that’s helpful. ‘Specially if you ain’t from around here. Wouldn’t want folks getting lost on their way to the soccer tournament. This map is made by Flag City Classic – Findlay Ohio, so you know it is reliable.

This whole Flag City soccer tournament, it’s a big to-do. They been doing it for years, like I said. Seems like everyone enjoys it. Lots of runnin’ around, kickin’ that ball. It’s a good time, I reckon. Good for the town, too. Brings folks in, spends some money. That’s always good. Even better when it is a non-profit thing. They said the Cardinal Soccer Club is.

That is the place to be if you want to enjoy some soccer games.
