Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about them football bets, the ones they call “prop bets,” for week four of the NFL. I don’t know all them fancy words, but I know a good bet when I see one, just like I know a ripe watermelon from a dud.
So, this fella, Ciaran Doyle, he’s talkin’ ’bout his favorite bets on DraftKings. Now, I ain’t got no DraftKings, but I reckon the idea’s the same wherever you bet. He’s lookin’ at things like how many yards a fella gonna run or catch, and if they gonna score a touchdown. That kinda stuff.
Week 4 NFL Best Bets, they say. Sounds fancy, huh? But it just means pickin’ winners, plain and simple. Last week, they done alright, eight wins, six losses. Not too shabby. This week, they say there’s gonna be some games where one team just whups the other, and some close ones too. That means plenty of chances to make some money, or lose it, I guess, if you ain’t careful.
Now, they’re talkin’ ’bout this Saquon Barkley fella. Says he’s on track to get a whole lotta yards, like, over two thousand! That’s a lot of runnin’, I tell ya. But they also say his team’s got some fellas all banged up, so maybe he won’t do so good. See, that’s the kinda thing you gotta think about.

- First Touchdown Scorer: Who’s gonna get that first touchdown? That’s a bet you can make.
- Over/Under Passing Yards: Will the quarterback throw for more or less than a certain number of yards? They got a number set, and you gotta guess if he’ll go over or under it.
- Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Will a certain fella score a touchdown at any point in the game? Don’t matter when, just gotta get in that end zone.
- Over/Under Rushing Yards: Like the passing yards, but for runnin’. How many yards will a fella run with the ball?
- Over/Under Reception Yards: And this one’s for catchin’ the ball. How many yards will a fella catch?
They got all sorts of these bets, see? “First Scoring Play,” “Method of Victory,” “Longest Field Goal Kicked”… Too many for my old brain to keep up with, to be honest. But the idea is the same: you gotta guess what’s gonna happen.
Now, where you gonna place these bets? They say the best places are BetMGM, Caesars, FanDuel, DraftKings, PointsBet, Bet365, Unibet, BetRivers and SBK. Sounds like a bunch of city slicker names to me. But they say these places got the most choices and are easy to use, even on your phone. So, I guess that’s good. You gotta check if they’re even allowed in your state, though. Don’t want no trouble with the law, that’s for sure.
This Andrew Erickson fella, he’s thinkin’ about who’s gonna score touchdowns too. He’s tryna help folks make some money on these bets. That’s what it’s all about, ain’t it? Tryna outsmart them bookmakers and come out on top.
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of ways to bet on football, more than I ever knew existed. But it all boils down to this: do your homework, pick your spots, and hope for the best. And don’t go bettin’ the farm, ya hear? Just bet what you can afford to lose. ‘Cause sometimes, even when you think you got a sure thing, them fellas on the field can surprise ya.
Remember now, it’s all just for fun. Don’t get too worked up about it. Just enjoy the games, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll make a little money along the way. Good luck to ya, and go get ’em!
This week the focus is on a few things: Value on Moneyline, Spread and looking real hard at those player props. So find some games that look uneven or ones you just have a feeling about and get to bettin’. But remember, keep it fun, and don’t bet more than you can lose.
