Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Disney Presidents Day Cup thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like somethin’ them city folk do. But from what I gather, it’s a big soccer to-do down in Florida, Kissimmee to be exact. Heard tell it’s at that ESPN Wide World of Sports place. Big place, I reckon.
Now, they hold this thing around Presidents’ Day, which is in February. Seems like a busy time down there, what with all the folks gettin’ outta the cold and all. And if that Mardi Gras thing falls in February too, well, it’s just a whole heap of people, I betcha.
This soccer thing, it ain’t just for little kids neither. They got boys and girls, from U9 all the way up to U19. That’s a lotta young’uns runnin’ around kickin’ a ball. Don’t know what all them U’s stand for, but it’s gotta do with how old they are, I figure.
The 2025 tournament is gonna be February 15th to 17th. Mark yer calendars if you’re one of them soccer moms or dads. Gonna be a lot of yellin’ and cheerin’, I expect. Hope they got enough snacks for all them kids.
- They got rules and all, just like any game. Can’t just be out there doin’ whatever you please.
- It’s at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Big fancy place, like I said.
- Boys and girls both play, ages U9 to U19.
- Happens around Presidents Day in February.
They got this phone number too, if you need to call ’em. 407-938-3805. Probably for signin’ up or askin’ questions. Me, I wouldn’t know who to call, ain’t got no kids playin’ soccer. But some folks, they take this stuff real serious. Drive all over the country for these games, I hear.
And there’s this hotel, they call it a “Resort hotel” which sounds mighty grand. Says it “salutes the world of competitive sports”. Guess that means they got pictures of balls and bats and such all over the place. Probably costs a pretty penny to stay there, but I reckon it’s close to the fields where they play. Makes it easy for the families, I suppose.
So, this Disney Presidents Day Cup, it’s more than just a game, it sounds like a whole big shebang. Families comin’ from all over, kids runnin’ around, folks yellin’ and cheerin’. A real hootenanny, you could say. Just a bunch of people gettin’ together to watch some soccer and have a good time, I guess. That’s what folks do, ain’t it? Find ways to get together and have a little fun. Even if it means kickin’ a ball around in the Florida sun.
Sounds like a good way to spend a long weekend, if you’re into that sort of thing. Me, I’d rather stay home and tend to my garden. But to each their own, I always say. Long as folks are happy and ain’t causin’ no trouble, that’s all that matters, right?
So, if you’re headin’ down to Florida for the Disney Presidents Day Cup, have yerself a good time. Cheer loud for them kids, eat some good food, and enjoy the sunshine. And don’t forget yer sunscreen! That Florida sun can be brutal.
