Well, howdy there, y’all! Let me tell ya somethin’ about these cars, the kind they used to make, but ain’t around no more. We’re gonna jaw about a Mitsubishi, a sporty one, they say. Folks call it a sedan, which I reckon means it’s got four doors and a place to put your groceries in the back. But this ain’t just any ol’ car, it’s one of them sports cars, the kind young fellers like to zip around in.
Now, they don’t make this car no more, they done discontinued it. That means they stopped makin’ ’em, see? Like when they stopped sellin’ them glass bottles of Coca-Cola, only this time it’s a whole car. I heard tell it was pretty popular back in the day, though. Folks seemed to like ’em. Probably ’cause they looked fancy and went fast. Not like my old pickup truck, that’s for sure. That thing’s as slow as molasses in January, but it gets the job done, ya know?
- They say this car was somethin’ special.
- It had a bit of pep in its step, as they say.
- And it looked mighty fine too, from what I hear.
I ain’t never owned one myself, mind you. Too rich for my blood. I’m more of a “get you from point A to point B” kind of gal. But I seen ’em around town a few times. Always driven by them youngsters with their loud music and fancy haircuts. They’d zip by so fast, you’d barely catch a glimpse. Made me think they was in a hurry to get nowhere, if you ask me.

But folks still talk about this car, even though it’s been gone a while. They got these things called crosswords, see? Them puzzles in the newspapers. And this car, well, it shows up in them puzzles all the time. People gotta guess the name, ya know? It’s kinda like a game. They give you a clue, somethin’ like “discontinued Mitsubishi sports sedan, informally,” and you gotta fill in the blanks. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over a car that ain’t even around no more, if you ask me. But I guess folks like to remember the old days, when things were different.
I heard some folks callin’ it by a shorter name, kinda like a nickname, ya know? Like how some folks call Robert “Bob” or Margaret “Maggie.” It’s somethin’ like that. They don’t use the whole long name, just a little piece of it. Makes it easier to say, I reckon. And it fits better in them crossword puzzles too, I bet. Them puzzle makers, they like to make things tricky, but they also gotta make ’em fit, ya know?
I tell you what, cars these days ain’t built like they used to be. Too much fancy gadgets and gizmos, if you ask me. Back in my day, a car was a car. It got you where you needed to go, and that was that. Now they got all these computers and screens and whatnot. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it. I reckon this discontinued Mitsubishi sports sedan was probably somewhere in between the old ways and the new ways. It was sporty and fast, but it probably still had a few knobs and buttons you could actually understand.
So, there you have it. A little bit of jabberin’ about a car that ain’t around no more. A Mitsubishi sports sedan, they called it. And even though it’s gone, folks still remember it, still talk about it, still tryin’ to figure out its name in them crossword puzzles. It’s funny how things work sometimes, ain’t it? Somethin’ can be gone, but it ain’t quite forgotten.
Anyways, I gotta get goin’ now. Got chores to do and mouths to feed. This old lady ain’t got time to sit around jawin’ about cars all day. But it was nice talkin’ to ya, y’all. Y’all come back now, ya hear?
And just so you know, I ain’t no expert on cars or nothin’. I’m just tellin’ it like I see it, like I hear it. Just a plain ol’ gal, that’s me. But I reckon even a plain ol’ gal can have somethin’ to say about a fancy car, even if it ain’t around no more.
One more thing, before I go. If you ever see one of them old crossword puzzles, and you see that clue about a “discontinued Mitsubishi sports sedan, informally,” well, you just remember what I told ya. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll be able to fill in the blanks. Or maybe you won’t. Either way, it ain’t the end of the world, ya know? There’s more to life than crossword puzzles and fancy cars, that’s for sure.
