Alright, so we’re gonna jaw about smokin’ and golfin’, eh? Now, I ain’t no fancy pants golfer, ya hear? But I’ve seen my share of folks lightin’ up on the green, and lemme tell ya, it’s a whole thing.
The Big Shots and Their Smoke
Seems like them pro golfers, the ones on TV, well, some of ’em like to puff away while they play. Heard tell of fellas like Gay Brewer, Angel Cabrera, that Daly fella – big hitters, and big smokers too, some of ’em at least for a spell. Even that Charley Hull gal, she’s been seen smokin’ on the course. Said it’s a habit, ya know? Now, the golf bosses, they don’t like no drinkin’ on the course, but smokin’? Seems like that’s alright, long as you don’t go blowin’ smoke in nobody’s face.
Don’t Be a Smokin’ Hog
That’s the thing, ain’t it? You gotta be polite about it. If you’re gonna smoke, don’t be a hog. Don’t go standin’ downwind of someone and puffin’ away like a chimney. Ask your cart buddy if it’s alright, ya know? Be considerate. And hey, if you’re feelin’ generous, bring enough smokes to share. That’s how you make friends on the course, I reckon.

To Smoke or Not to Smoke? That’s the Question.
Now, I ain’t here to tell ya if you should smoke or not. That’s your business. But if you’re gonna do it on the golf course, just remember to be respectful. It ain’t just about you out there. There’s other folks tryin’ to enjoy their game, and nobody wants a face full of smoke when they’re tryin’ to sink a putt.
It Ain’t Just Cigarettes, Ya Know
And it ain’t just cigarettes, is it? Some folks like them fancy cigars. Heck, I seen a fella once with a pipe, looked like somethin’ outta a Sherlock Holmes movie. Long as you ain’t causin’ a fire hazard, I guess it don’t matter much what you’re smokin’, just how you’re smokin’ it.
Golf’s a Thinking Game, and Smokin’ Can Help… or Hurt
Some folks say smokin’ helps ’em relax, helps ’em focus. They say it calms their nerves, lets ’em think straight before a big shot. Maybe so. But I’ve also seen folks get so caught up in their smokin’ they forget to pay attention to their game. Missed putts, sliced drives, the whole shebang. So, I guess it’s like anythin’ else, gotta do it in moderation.
The Young Guns and the Old Timers
Seems like more of the older fellas smoke, the ones who been playin’ for years. The young guns, they’re all about fitness and health these days. But you still see some of ’em lightin’ up, especially when the pressure’s on. Guess it just goes to show, golf’s a game for everybody, smokers and non-smokers alike.
So, What’s the Bottom Line?
Well, there ain’t no real bottom line, is there? If you wanna smoke on the golf course, go ahead. Just be smart about it. Be respectful, be safe, and don’t let it mess up your game. And for goodness sake, don’t be blowin’ smoke in my face!
And remember, golf is about havin’ a good time, relaxin’ ,and maybe, just maybe, hittin’ a good shot or two. If smokin’ helps you do that, well, then you go right ahead. But if it’s causin’ trouble, maybe it’s time to put it out. Now, go on and enjoy your game, and don’t forget to bring an extra lighter, just in case.
