Oh, this Garrett Carr fella, he’s been in the news a lot lately. People been talkin’ about him, whether it’s about sports or some map-makin’ thing. Now, I ain’t no fancy sportswriter, but from what I hear, Garrett Carr, he’s got his hands in a lot of pies. You see, there’s one Garrett Carr who’s a football player, and there’s another one who’s a writer. Don’t go gettin’ confused, now. Let me tell ya a bit about ‘em both.
First off, the footballer. They say he plays for Indiana State Sycamores, you know, in college football. He’s one of them offensive linemen, real big and strong. I reckon he’s been at it for some time now, ‘cause folks talk about his career history and all that. From what I gather, this young man’s makin’ headlines here and there, playin’ for different teams and whatnot. Now, I don’t know all them fancy stats, but when I looked it up, they said he’s thrown for a lot of yards and completed a good chunk of his passes. 70.3 percent they say! That’s mighty good, isn’t it? Sounds like he’s a pretty sharp fella on the field.
Now, there’s this other Garrett Carr. He ain’t out there throwin’ footballs, no sir. He’s a writer, a fella who grew up near Ireland’s border, and from what I hear, he’s been writin’ and makin’ maps. Maps! Imagine that. He goes and charts all them paths and bridges ‘crossin’ the border in Ireland. Mighty different kinda work if ya ask me, but it seems like he’s pretty good at it. People say his work is real important for understandin’ the history and geography of that place.
Now, I heard about a third fella named Carr, this one’s a quarterback for the New Orleans Saints, but I ain’t sure if he’s related to our Garrett Carr. This one’s been out for a while with an injury, somethin’ called an oblique issue. That sounds painful, don’t it? Poor fella’s been missin’ games and all, but they say he might be throwin’ the ball again soon. I sure hope so for his sake and for the team.
So, all in all, Garrett Carr seems to be a name folks oughta keep an eye on. Whether it’s on the football field or out there in Ireland drawin’ maps, these Carr fellas seem to be doin’ some big things. I reckon we’ll be hearin’ more about ‘em soon enough. Sports, maps, throwin’ footballs — it’s all there if ya go lookin’.
