Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another story to tell. So, the other day, I was scrolling through my feed, and I saw this whole thing blowing up about boycotting the NFL. Yeah, the National Football League. It all started after that Thursday night game between the Chiefs and the Ravens. You know, a real nail-biter that got everyone talking, but not just about the game.
I got curious, so I started digging around. Turns out, people were calling for a boycott, and it had something to do with what teams can post on social media. I thought, “What’s the big deal?” But then I read more. It’s like the NFL wants to control the whole narrative, right? They put out these new rules about what teams can and can’t post on game day. No more this, no more that. It felt like a bit much.
- I checked out some forums and man, the discussions were heated.
- Saw a bunch of tweets from fans, some really upset.
- Even found some articles talking about how the NFL’s been making bank, like $5 billion a year for the U.S. economy. Crazy, right?
So, I kept digging. Apparently, this whole boycott thing really took off after some influencer, Dylan Mulvaney, posted about a beer can. It wasn’t even about football, but it got tied in somehow. Then there’s this whole other side of the story about the NFL going international, trying to find talent worldwide. They’ve got this International Player Pathway Program. It’s all about getting the NFL’s name out there, globally.
I spent a good few hours just reading and watching videos. It’s a lot to take in. On one hand, you’ve got people who are all about supporting their teams and the sport. On the other, there’s this feeling that maybe the NFL is getting too big for its own good, trying to control too much. And don’t even get me started on the economic side of things. It’s huge! But is it all good?

My Two Cents
After all this, I’m just sitting here, thinking about how complicated it all is. I love football, don’t get me wrong. But there’s all this other stuff going on that makes you think. Anyway, I just wanted to share what I found out. It’s a lot more than just a game.
Finished up my little research project feeling a bit overwhelmed, to be honest. But hey, that’s what I’m here for, right? To dive into these things and share what I find. Hope you all found this interesting. Catch you in the next one!
