Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this here BCB baseball. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I seen a thing or two.
First off, what is this BCB, huh? I hear folks talkin’ about it like it’s somethin’ special. BlackCrackers Baseball, they call it. Sounds fancy, but is it any good? They say they got a National Championship and some World Series Championships. That’s gotta be somethin’, right? Seven fellers went off to play in college, too. Guess they’re teachin’ ’em somethin’ over there.
Then there’s this other BCB, Boardman Community Baseball. That’s over on McClurg Road, number 410. Sounds like a local thing. Probably got kids playin’ there, learnin’ the ropes. Good for ’em, I say. Keeps ’em outta trouble.
- They got all sorts of baseball stuff, I heard.
- Baseball card binders, football, hockey, basketball, even boxin’ and wrestlin’ cards.
- Never seen so many cards in my life. My grandson collects them things, you know. Spends all his pocket money on ’em.
Now, I also heard about a big ol’ baseball place way over in Japan, in somethin’ called Kagawa Prefecture. Kagawa Prefectural Baseball Complex. Big fancy name, ain’t it? Sounds like a place where they take their baseball real serious. I bet they got some good players over there.

Speakin’ of good players, there’s this feller, Kinsler. Played in the big leagues for 14 years. That’s a long time, let me tell ya. He worked for the San Diego Padres after he quit playin’, helpin’ out with the players and such. Lives in Dallas now, he does. Almost got 2000 hits, that feller. That’s somethin’ to be proud of.
So, what’s the deal with all this BCB baseball stuff? Well, it seems like it’s all about baseball, plain and simple. Whether it’s trainin’ young fellers to be champions, or just lettin’ kids have some fun, or buildin’ big ol’ stadiums, it’s all about the love of the game. And that ain’t a bad thing, not one bit.
You know, baseball’s been around for a long time. My grandpappy used to play it, and my daddy too. Now my grandkids are playin’. It’s somethin’ that brings folks together, you see. It don’t matter if you’re rich or poor, black or white, young or old. When you’re out there on that field, you’re all just playin’ the same game.
And that’s what I like about it. It’s a good, honest game. Teaches you somethin’ about teamwork, and hard work, and never givin’ up. And that’s somethin’ we could all use a little more of these days.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do, go check out some BCB baseball. You might just find somethin’ you like. And even if you don’t, well, at least you got outta the house for a while. That’s always a good thing.
BCB baseball, it’s everywhere, from fancy championships to local kids’ games. It’s a big deal, no matter how you look at it. And like I said, I ain’t no expert, but I know a good thing when I see it. And baseball, well, it’s a good thing.
Now, I gotta go make some supper. But you think about what I said, ya hear? Baseball’s more than just a game, it’s somethin’ special.
And that’s all I got to say about that.
