Hey everyone, it’s your guy here, back with another one of my little adventures. So, today I’m gonna talk about something a bit different than usual – the American Legion Baseball World Series. Yeah, I know, it sounds kinda serious, but trust me, it turned out to be quite a ride.
It all started a few weeks back. I stumbled upon some info about this baseball thing – the American Legion World Series. Honestly, I didn’t know much about it, but it got me curious. I saw that teams from all 50 states, plus Canada, get in on this. And it’s been going on since like, 1925! I mean, that’s some serious history.
So I decided, why not check it out? I did a little digging. Found out that this year it was happening in Shelby, N.C. Seemed like a cool place to visit, and hey, a baseball game thrown in? Sounded like fun.
I packed my bags and hit the road. Shelby’s a neat little town, got that classic American vibe. The stadium, Keeter Stadium, was buzzing with energy. Loads of people, families, young folks – all there for the game. I snagged a ticket and got ready for some baseball action.

Now, I’m no baseball expert, but I could tell these guys were good. Young players, 13 to 19 years old, playing their hearts out. Turns out, a lot of these kids go on to play in college and even the pros. Some even make it to the Baseball Hall of Fame! Can you believe it?
- First Game Experience: The first game I watched was pretty intense. I remember it was Midland, Michigan up against Troy, Alabama. Both teams were really going at it. It was a close match, but in the end, Troy pulled ahead. The crowd went wild – it was an amazing atmosphere.
- Watching Online: I couldn’t stay for the whole series, so I caught some of the games online. They streamed them on ESPN3 and ESPN+. It wasn’t the same as being there, but I still got to see some great plays.
- The Final Showdown: The final game was a big deal. Troy, Alabama, was playing against someone else and I watched it on ESPNU, they showed it live on TV. And guess what? Troy won! They were crowned the champions of the 2024 American Legion World Series. It was a fantastic game to watch, even on TV.
This whole experience was pretty cool. I went in not knowing much, and came out with a new appreciation for these young athletes. It’s not just about the game, but also the dedication, the history, and the community around it.
So yeah, that’s my story about the American Legion Baseball World Series. It was a great trip, and I got to see some top-notch baseball. If you ever get a chance, check it out. It’s definitely worth it.
Alright, that’s all from me for now. Catch you guys later!
