Okay, so I wanted to figure out which NFL teams have the best defenses this year. You know, like, who’s really good at stopping the other team from scoring. It’s a fun little project I’ve been messing with.
First, I started by just looking around online to see what other people were saying. I checked out a bunch of different websites and articles that talk about NFL defense rankings. I found some general agreement on a few teams that are supposed to be really good, like the Browns and the Ravens, so I wrote those down.
Then I dove a little deeper. I wanted to make my own list, ranking all 32 teams from best to worst. To do this, I gathered a bunch of stats. I looked at things like how many points each team allows per game, how many yards they give up, and how good they are at getting sacks and turnovers. I just collected all this information, nothin’ too complicated.
- I noticed some teams kept coming up as top-tier. For example, the Philadelphia Eagles, they’re talked about a lot.
- The Tennessee Titans and the New York Jets were also mentioned frequently, so I paid extra attention to them.
- And there’s this guy, Myles Garrett, from the Cleveland Browns. Apparently, he’s a beast when it comes to rushing the quarterback. I made a note of that.
After I had all this data, I started putting together my own rankings. I compared the numbers, thought about which stats were most important, and just kind of played around with the order until I was happy with it. The Broncos have good defense too. It was kind of like putting together a puzzle, but with football teams.
My Findings
So, based on what I found, it looks like the Browns and Ravens are definitely up there. They’re both really tough on defense. The Eagles, Titans, and Jets, they’re also looking pretty solid. And of course, you can’t forget about the Broncos. They’re also really tough on defense.
It’s not a perfect system, but it was fun to do. Plus, it gives me something to talk about with my buddies when we’re watching the games. It is just a simple ranking I made. I think it is interesting.
And you know what, I realized this is a pretty cool way to learn more about the game. By digging into the numbers, you start to see things you might not notice otherwise. It’s a little nerdy, but I’m into it. I’ll probably keep updating these rankings as the season goes on, just for kicks. Maybe I’ll even start betting with my friends based on my rankings, who knows!
