Okay, so, I’ve been a huge WWE fan since I was a kid. And you know what? This year, I finally got to see a Monday Night Raw live! It was the one in Philadelphia, on October 21, 2024. I mean, can you believe it? Me, in the same building as all those wrestling legends!
First things first, I started planning this months in advance. The moment WWE announced their schedule for WrestleMania Week in Philly, I knew I had to be there. I remember that day clearly, it was November 8, 2023 when the initial schedule was announced by WWE. Immediately, I went online and searched for the tickets. I was looking for ticket prices and how to get them, and I saw that the price is around $49, depending on various factors, of course.
So, I looked up everything, you know, when it’s happening, where, how much it’s gonna cost. And the tickets? Man, those were not cheap. But hey, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing, right? I ended up finding a decent seat that wouldn’t break the bank. Scored it online, easy peasy.
Fast forward to the big day. I was so pumped! I got to Philly early, soaked in the atmosphere. The city was buzzing, you could feel the excitement in the air. Fans everywhere, all decked out in their favorite wrestler’s gear. It was awesome!

The Event
I got to the arena, and wow, the energy inside was electric. They had all these giant screens, the lights, the music – it was like being in another world. And the lineup? Don’t even get me started. We’re talking big names here: Gunther, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, Rhea Ripley, The New Day, and Liv Morgan. Plus, a special treat – Cody Rhodes versus Solo Sikoa in a Philadelphia Street Fight! I heard that it was part of the Friday Night SmackDown.
The matches were insane. Every slam, every high-flying move, the crowd went wild. I was screaming my lungs out, cheering and booing with everyone else. It was just so much fun. I was looking forward to the show to start at 8 p.m. EST, but missed it because of the traffic, thankfully, I learned that Netflix has the access to watch WWE Raw immediately after the live show ends, beginning January 6, 2025, how cool is that? And also, I learned that WWE Monday Night Raw will be aired on Netflix every Monday night at 8 p.m. ET, also starting on 2025. But being there, live, was something else. You just can’t get that feeling watching it on TV.
The Aftermath
After the show, I was on cloud nine. I grabbed some merch, a t-shirt, and a cap, to remember the night. Walked around Philly for a bit, still buzzing from the event. It was one of those nights you just don’t forget.
Honestly, it was one of the best experiences of my life. If you’re a wrestling fan, you gotta go to a live show at least once. It’s totally worth it. I’m already thinking about which event I’m hitting up next year. Maybe WrestleMania? Who knows! But one thing’s for sure, I’m hooked.
