Alright, so the other day I decided to watch the Florida State vs. Miami baseball game. Man, it was a doozy!
I got myself all set up, grabbed some snacks, and settled in. It was a Friday night, April 13th, and it was the first game of a three-game series. I remembered reading that it was the first time these two teams had played each other since way back in 1960. Can you believe that?
Setting the Stage
The game was held at the Dick Howser Stadium, I think it’s called Mike Martin Field now. I heard that the stadium is in Tallahassee. Florida State, ranked No. 9, was playing against the Miami Hurricanes.
The Game Begins
So, the game started, and it was intense from the get-go. Florida State was on fire! They were hitting the ball like crazy and running the bases like their lives depended on it. Miami was trying their best to keep up, but Florida State was just too strong.

Florida State Dominates
By the end of the game, Florida State had scored a whopping 11 runs, while Miami had managed 7. Florida State won that game, and I read somewhere that they clinched the series that night. I also saw that their overall record improved to something like 29 wins and only 5 losses. They are really good this season! Also 9-5 in ACC.
Afterthoughts
- Florida State Seminoles: They are having a killer season! They’ve won a bunch of championships over the years, like 11 regular-season conference championships and 20 conference tournament championships. I need to start following them more closely.
- Miami Hurricanes: They put up a good fight, but they were just outmatched this time. I’m sure they’ll come back stronger in their next games.
Overall, it was a great game to watch. I’m not the biggest baseball expert, but I enjoy a good game when I see one. This Florida State vs. Miami game definitely delivered. I can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of the series and the season!
