Man, I’ve always been a huge wrestling fan, so when I heard about the WWE Supershow coming to Lakeland, I knew I had to be there. The event was scheduled for August 17th at the Jenkins Arena in the RP Funding Center. Sounded like a blast, and I wasn’t about to miss it.
First thing I did was jump online to snag some tickets. I checked out a few sites, you know, just to compare prices and see what was available. There are so many of these sites these days, it’s nuts. Found some decent seats on one of them, not too pricey, around the $60 mark, which is pretty standard for these events. I’ve seen them go for as low as $15 and as high as $120, depending on the seats and the show. Anyways, tickets secured, I started counting down the days.
As the date got closer, I started looking into the details. The lineup was looking pretty sweet with names like Drew McIntyre, Rey Mysterio, The Wyatt Sicks, The New Day, and LA Knight all advertised. I mean, come on, Rey Mysterio? That’s a legend right there. Got me all hyped up just thinking about it.
Getting Ready
- Checked the date: August 17th, Saturday. Perfect for a weekend.
- Looked up the venue: Jenkins Arena at the RP Funding Center. Never been there, but heard it’s a good spot.
- Confirmed my tickets: Got them on my phone, all set.
The day finally arrived, and I made my way to the RP Funding Center. The atmosphere was electric, you could feel the excitement in the air. I got there a bit early to soak it all in. Wandered around, checked out the merch stands – you know, the usual pre-show stuff. I even considered grabbing a Superstar photo, but the line was insane. There were also these Superstar Experience Packages for a meet and greet, but that was a bit out of my budget.

Once inside, I found my seat, and man, the view was pretty good. The arena started filling up, and you could just tell it was going to be a wild night. According to some reports, they were expecting over 4,000 people. That’s a lot of wrestling fans in one place!
The Show Begins
The show kicked off, and it was everything I hoped for and more. The energy of the crowd, the entrance music, the lights – it was all so immersive. Seeing all those wrestlers live, doing their thing in the ring, was just surreal. I remember this one match, I think it was LA Knight, the crowd went absolutely nuts. It’s moments like those that make you realize why you love this stuff.
Throughout the night, there were so many highlights. Each match had its own vibe, its own story. You had your high-flyers, your powerhouses, your technical wizards – a bit of everything. And the crowd, man, the crowd was into it. Cheering, booing, chanting – it was a whole experience in itself.
After the Show
After the last match, as everyone was filing out, I just stood there for a bit, taking it all in. It’s kind of hard to explain, but there’s this feeling you get after a great live event. It’s like you were part of something special, something bigger than yourself. I grabbed a couple of souvenirs on the way out – a t-shirt and a program. Gotta have something to remember the night by, right?
Overall, the WWE Supershow in Lakeland was an unforgettable experience. If you’re a wrestling fan and you ever get the chance to go to one of these events, do it. Trust me, you won’t regret it. It’s not just about the matches, it’s about the whole atmosphere, the energy, the shared experience with thousands of other fans. It’s something you gotta experience firsthand to truly understand.
