You know, that Tez Johnson, he’s somethin’ else. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout this NFL Draft thing, and his name keeps poppin’ up. Seems like he’s gonna be in that 2025 NFL Draft. They say it’s gonna be in Green Bay, near that big ol’ Lambeau Field. Imagine that! That place is huge, like ten of our barns put together!
This Johnson boy, he ain’t the biggest fella, but he’s sure quick on his feet. Like a rabbit, I tell ya! They say he’s good at catchin’ the ball, especially them short throws. They call it, uh, “short/underneath areas” or somethin’ like that. Sounds complicated to me. All I know is, he can catch! He’s playin’ smart, too. They’re sayin’ he knows what them other fellas are gonna do before they even do it. He got that football smarts.
They also say, this NFL Draft, it’s gonna start on April 24. A lot of time until then. Plenty of time to watch this kid play. They talking about other teams wantin’ him, too. Some team called the Bucs, I think. They will need good players. Hope they get some good players, hope they are fast like Tez Johnson.
Now, I heard some folks sayin’ he ain’t the best one out there. Not the top “wide receiver,” they call it. But he’s still pretty darn good. Top 100, I hear! That’s somethin’, ain’t it? He’s like that Dell fella, they say. Must be good company to be in.

This Johnson boy, he ain’t one for the outside, I hear. He’s better in the middle, where it’s crowded. They call it the “slot”. He likes to run them “routes” in there. It’s like him weavin’ through a cornfield, I reckon. He’s got good moves, that’s for sure. Heard he’s got an invite to some big game, the Senior Bowl. Sounds fancy. They say he’s gonna be a “starting slot receiver” in the NFL. Whatever that means, must be good, though. He is really good.
I remember when my boy, bless his heart, used to play football. He was a good runner, too. Not as fast as this Johnson fella, though. This boy, he’s got somethin’ special. Heard he caught 86 of them throws for a whole lotta yards. Over a thousand, they say! That’s a lot of runnin’! They say that “National Football League” got their eye on this boy.
I reckon it’s a big deal, this NFL Draft. Lots of folks watchin’, lots of money involved, I suppose. Don’t understand all of it, but I know a good football player when I see one. And this Tez Johnson, he’s a good one. You can bet your bottom dollar on that!
This NFL Draft in 2025, it’s gonna be somethin’ to see. All them young fellas, hopin’ to make it big. Hope they all do well. It’s a tough world out there, but if you got the grit and the talent, you can make it. Just like this Johnson boy. He’s gonna make it. I just know it in my old bones.
I’ll be watchin’ that draft, I reckon. From my old armchair. Rootin’ for that Johnson boy. He’s a good egg. He must work hard. He is really good. He will be big star one day. Hope he remembers where he came from, though. That’s important. Don’t forget your roots, that’s what I always say. That Johnson will go far, you just wait and see. He better stay out of trouble, though. These young fellas, they get all that money and attention, sometimes they go astray. Hope he stays on the straight and narrow. That’s the best way. Be humble, work hard, and stay out of trouble. That’s the recipe for success, right there. And catch that ball! He can really catch that ball. He will be okay in that NFL Draft.
Well, I’ve talked your ear off long enough. Just remember that name, Tez Johnson. You’ll be hearin’ it a lot more, I reckon. Especially around that NFL Draft time. He’s gonna be a star. A big, bright, shinin’ star. Just you wait and see.
