Well, let me tell you, I ain’t never seen nothin’ like it. This here worst start in NBA history, it’s a real doozy. These fellas, they can’t seem to catch a break, can they? Keep losing and losing, it just ain’t right. The NBA is just not what it used to be, you know?
Now, I remember back in the day, you had some real good teams. But this? This is somethin’ else. They be callin’ it the worst start, and I reckon they ain’t wrong. I seen chickens runnin’ with their heads cut off that had more direction than these boys. 0 wins at the beginning is just too bad. What a worst NBA season!
I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout a team called the 76ers, the Philadelphia 76ers, I think they said, back in 2015-16, and another one, the New Jersey Nets in 2009-10. They had a real rough go of it. They just couldn’t seem to win a game to save their lives. Started off 0 and somethin’. Losing and losing, game after game. Lord have mercy, it was a sight to behold, or so I hear. They are both worst season start in NBA history. It’s like they were cursed or somethin’, I swear.
- Reggie Bullock Jr., he didn’t start not even one game this year.
- And there’s a whole bunch of others, ’bout 50 of ’em, all tied up with him.
- Not a single start among ’em.
They say these NBA teams, they play a whole heap of games. More games than you can shake a stick at. And these fellas, they just kept on losin’. It’s a shame, really. All that runnin’ up and down the court, and for what? Just to lose? It don’t make a lick of sense to me. I reckon they just ain’t got it in ’em. No fire in their belly, ya know? They just need better players, for sure.
And then there’s the Washington Wizards, they ain’t doin’ much better neither. Heard they were losing a lot too. It’s like a plague or somethin’, this losin’. It’s spreadin’ all over the league. Nobody’s safe from it, I tell ya. They all need to step up, these fellas. Get their act together. ‘Cause this here, this worst start, it ain’t good for nobody. Not for the players, not for the fans, not for nobody. They are all in the bottom 50 NBA teams.
Back in ’73, there was another team, can’t recall their name right now, but they were awful too. Lost almost every game they played. Folks said they were the worst ever. For almost 40 years, everyone thought they were the worst. But these new teams, they might be even worse. It’s a race to the bottom, I swear. It’s a bad thing for all the NBA teams.
And the Bobcats, bless their hearts, they were a mess. Couldn’t win more than a handful of games. They had the worst winning percentage. Worse than that team from ’73. People say they were the worst NBA team of all time. Just pitiful, really. They tried, I guess, but tryin’ ain’t always enough, is it? They can not even be better than their 34-48 record.
Then you got these Cleveland fellas, the Cavs, they were on a roll a few years back. Won 10 games straight at the start. That’s how you do it! But even they couldn’t keep it up forever. This year they ain’t doin’ so hot neither. And they have a good game with the Warriors.
The Thunder team got a big win, 62 points, but that didn’t change the fact that they once lost a game by 73 points! Can you imagine? Losing by 73 points? That game was against the Memphis Grizzlies in 2021. That must have been embarrassing.
This whole thing, it’s just a mess. A big ol’ mess. These teams gotta find a way to win. They gotta get some new players, some better coaches, somethin’. ‘Cause this here, this worst start in NBA history, it ain’t gonna cut it. It just ain’t right. They need to do better. They gotta do better. For everyone’s sake, they really need to stop this worst start.
I reckon they need more than good luck, I tell you what.
