Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here Tudor Games Electric Baseball. It ain’t like them fancy video games the young’uns play now, no sir. This here’s a real game, well, sorta real. It’s got them little plastic fellas runnin’ ’round the bases, see?
Back in the day, I reckon, this was a big deal. They called it the 1970 Tudor Electric Baseball game. You’d flip a switch and this here motor would start hummin’ and vibratin’ and them little plastic fellas would start movin’. Round and round they’d go, just like real baseball players, only smaller, and made of plastic. And no spittin’ or scratchin’ neither.
Now, I ain’t never been one for fancy stuff, but this here game, it was somethin’ else. It weren’t just for kids, mind you. Grown men, they’d be sittin’ around, playin’ this thing for hours. I seen it with my own two eyes. They’d be yellin’ and cheerin’, just like they was at a real baseball game. Only difference was, the beer was cheaper at home.
- Vibratin’ Motor: That’s what made them fellas move.
- Plastic Runners: Little bitty guys runnin’ the bases.
- Hours of Fun: Kept folks entertained, young and old.
Nowadays, they got this here Modern Electric Football, they say. It’s got more details, bigger fields, the whole shebang. And them fellas, they ain’t just playin’ at home no more. They got leagues and tournaments and all that fancy stuff. Coaches and all! Imagine that, coaches for a little electric game. Times sure have changed.

But I tell ya, there’s somethin’ special about them old games, like this here Tudor Electric Baseball. They call ’em vintage now, which just means old, I reckon. You can still find ’em, if you look hard enough. Seen some on that eBay thing, sellin’ for, well, more than they cost back then, that’s for sure. Twenty-five dollars, sometimes more! And they say “Free Shipping.” What a deal!
And get this, some of them older Tudor games, from the 1960s, they even got magnets! Yeah, you heard right, magnets. You’d actually throw a pitch, well, with a magnet, and you’d swing a bat, also with a magnet. Ain’t that somethin’? It’s like real baseball, only, you know, not. One fella pitches and one fella bats. Just like the real game. Makes ya wonder who came up with these ideas.
I heard tell that Tudor company, they changed hands a while back. New owners and all. Don’t know if they still make these games or not. But folks still love ’em, that’s for sure. They collectin’ ’em now, like they’re some kinda treasure. Vintage Baseball collectibles, they call ’em.
I remember seein’ a picture once, from way back in 1953, it was. Showed how this game worked. Little plastic pieces and all. Guess folks been playin’ these electric baseball games for a long, long time. And you know what? Folks are still lookin’ for them on eBay, tryin’ to find a good deal.
So, if you ever come across one of these Tudor Electric Baseball games, don’t just toss it aside. It might be worth somethin’. And even if it ain’t, it’s a piece of history, I tell ya. A little piece of fun from a simpler time. A time when folks didn’t need fancy graphics and all that jazz to have a good time. Just a vibratin’ motor and some little plastic fellas runnin’ around the bases.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go find my glasses. All this talk about baseball games is makin’ my eyes tired.
