Alright, let’s gab about this 2024 WNBA Panini Prizm thing, whatever it is. Sounds fancy, huh? Like somethin’ them city folks would be all excited about. So, I heard tell it’s got somethin’ to do with basketball cards. You know, them shiny pictures of them tall gals runnin’ around and throwin’ balls.
Now, they say these cards are comin’ out soon, real soon. Some folks whisperin’ ’bout January 12th. That’s right in the dead of winter, ain’t it? Guess them card makers don’t care much about the weather. They just wanna get them cards out there for folks to buy, I reckon.
And what’s all this hubbub about Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese? Seems like they’re the big shots this year. Everybody’s wantin’ their cards. Heard tell one of ’em, Caitlin I think it was, she done signed a deal with this Panini company. Means her picture’s gonna be all over them cards, I guess. Makes ’em special, or so they say.
They’re callin’ it “2024 WNBA Trading Cards“, and they ain’t just for lookin’ at, seems like. Some folks are usin’ ’em with some kind of Monopoly game. Can you believe it? Monopoly! That game my grandpappy used to play. Now they got basketball players on it. Times sure do change, don’t they?

And listen to this, they got all sorts of fancy names for these cards. “Origins”, “Prizm”, sounds like somethin’ outta a fairy tale. They got “autographs” too, which I reckon means the players signed their names on ’em. And “memorabilia cards”, whatever that means. Maybe they got a piece of their jersey stuck on there or somethin’. Who knows?
- Release Date: January 12th (that’s what they’re sayin’ anyway)
- Who’s in it: Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and a bunch of other basketball gals
- What’s special: Autographs, memorabilia cards, and all sorts of shiny stuff
- What you can do with ’em: Collect ’em, trade ’em, or even use ’em with that Monopoly game
Now, I hear tell some of these cards can be worth a pretty penny. There was one, a few years back, went for over ten thousand dollars! Can you imagine? Ten thousand dollars for a little piece of cardboard! Makes you wonder, don’t it? But I guess if folks want it bad enough, they’ll pay whatever it takes.
This Panini company, they been makin’ these cards for a while now. Started way back in 2012, or so I heard. And they got all sorts of different kinds. Some are shiny gold, some are green, some are silver. Folks go crazy for them gold ones, seems like. Says they’re the prettiest.
They’re makin’ a whole lot of different sets of cards this year, not just this Panini Prizm thing. Thirty-two different kinds, someone told me. That’s a whole lotta basketball players. Must be hard to keep track of ‘em all. But these collectors, they seem to know what’s what. They got their lists and their prices and all that. It’s a whole ‘nother world, I tell ya.
So, if you’re into this kinda thing, keep your eyes peeled come January. 2024 WNBA Panini Prizm release date is supposedly January 12th, but these things can change, you know. Might be sooner, might be later. Just gotta wait and see. And if you do get your hands on some of them cards, maybe you’ll find a valuable one. Or maybe you’ll just have fun lookin’ at them pretty pictures. Either way, it’s somethin’ to do, ain’t it?
And they say there’s gonna be two autographs, one memorabilia card, and two other special cards in every box you buy. Sounds like a lot of stuff, but these boxes ain’t cheap, I bet. Nothin’ is these days. But folks seem happy to pay, long as they get them Caitlin Clark cards, I guess.
Well, that’s all I know about this WNBA Panini Prizm business. Hope it made some sense to ya. It’s all a bit confusing to me, to be honest. But hey, if it makes folks happy, then who am I to judge? Just seems like a lot of fuss over some cardboard, but that’s just my two cents.
So if you’re looking for 2024 WNBA trading cards, you now know when to start hunting. Remember that release date and maybe you’ll get lucky. And if you do find a valuable one, don’t forget about ol’… well, never mind about that. Just have fun with it, okay?
