Alright, so you wanna know about this ESPN Presidents Day Soccer Tournament, huh? Let me tell ya, it’s a big deal, a real big deal. Kids comin’ from all over, runnin’ around, kickin’ that ball. Goodness gracious, they got so much energy!
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I heard they have this thing every year, around February time. This year, in 2024, they had it February 17th to 19th. And lemme tell ya, it was somethin’ else. So many people, cars everywhere. I almost got run over just tryin’ to cross the street!
They got all sorts of ages playin’, from little tykes, like 9 years old, all the way up to teenagers, 19 years old. Boys and girls both. They say it’s at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, down in Kissimmee. That’s a long ways from here, let me tell ya. But folks come from all over for it, they do.
- Event Name: ESPN Presidents Day Soccer Tournament
- Dates: Usually around mid-February (2024 dates were Feb 17-19)
- Age Groups: Boys and girls, ages U9-U19
- Location: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Kissimmee, Florida
I heard they’re already plannin’ for next year, 2025. Said it’ll be February 15th to 17th. Same place, same age groups. These folks are organized, I tell ya. More organized than my kitchen, that’s for sure!
Now, if you wanna know more, they say you gotta go to that there website, the ESPN Wide World of Sports one. Click on somethin’ called “Events and More,” then “Pricing and Info.” Sounds complicated to me. I ain’t good with all that computer stuff. Give me a good ol’ newspaper any day.
Soccer tournament, huh? Never played it myself. Back in my day, we played hopscotch and tag. But these kids, they love that soccer. Runnin’ up and down that field, kickin’ that ball with all their might. And the parents, oh my, they get so worked up! Yellin’ and cheerin’ like it’s the World Cup or somethin’. It’s somethin’ to see, I tell ya.
They got this tournament for boys and girls, all different ages. Little ones, big ones, all of ‘em playin’ their hearts out. It’s good for ‘em, keeps ‘em outta trouble. Better than sittin’ around watchin’ that silly box all day, that’s for sure. Television, they call it. Nothin’ but noise and nonsense if you ask me.
And they got people comin’ from all over, not just from around here. I heard some folks even fly in from other states. Can you believe that? Flyin’ all that way just to watch kids play soccer. Well, I guess it’s important to some folks. Me, I’m just happy to sit on my porch and watch the birds.
They say this tournament is a big deal for the economy too. All them people gotta eat somewhere, sleep somewhere. They buy gas, they buy souvenirs. It’s good for the businesses around here, they say. Keeps folks employed. That’s important, you know. Gotta keep the money flowin’.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do next February, maybe check out this Presidents Day Soccer Tournament. It’s a whole lotta fuss, but it’s somethin’ to see. Just be careful where you park, and don’t get run over by all them excited parents! And remember, it’s at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex down in Kissimmee. That’s a ways to go, so pack a lunch!
And one more thing I almost forgot to tell ya. I seen this address somewhere, it said 1529 Third St. S., Jacksonville Beach. Now, I don’t rightly know what that’s got to do with the soccer tournament, but maybe it’s where they do some of the plannin’ or somethin’. Just thought I’d mention it, in case it’s important.
Anyway, that’s all I know about this here soccer tournament. It’s a big to-do, lots of kids, lots of noise, lots of excitement. If you like that sort of thing, you’ll probably enjoy it. Me, I think I’ll stick to my porch swing. Less chance of gettin’ run over that way.
