Alright, so you wanna know about this NFL stuff, the Week 13 games, right? Let me tell ya, it’s a whole lotta fuss about some fellas throwin’ a ball around. But folks get real worked up about it, so I guess it’s important.
This here’s the lowdown on where you can watch the NFL games for Week 13, that’s what they call a “coverage map.” Sounds fancy, but it just means which game you get on your TV, dependin’ on where you live. They got all these teams playin’, see, and not everyone gets to see every game. It ain’t like the old days when you had one game and that was it.
Now, Week 13, that started on a Thursday, I think. Some team from Detroit, the Lions they call ’em, they played. Don’t ask me who they played against, I can’t keep track of all them names. Too many for this old brain.
This “coverage map,” it shows ya what game you’re gonna get on Sunday. That’s when most of the games are. Sunday afternoon, they call it. You got CBS and FOX, them’s the TV channels. They split up the games, see? So, like, if you live over there, you might get the Packers game, but if you live over here, you might get the Cowboys. It’s all a big puzzle.
- Thursday Game: They had one game on Thursday, but that’s already done gone past. Like I said, the Lions played.
- Sunday Afternoon Games: This is the main deal. CBS and FOX got their games, and where you live decides what you see.
- Sunday Night Game: There’s one game on Sunday night, too. That one’s usually a big deal, everyone watches that one.
- Monday Night Game: And then they got one more on Monday night. This week, I heard somethin’ about the Eagles and the Falcons. Birds fightin’ birds, I guess.
Now, if you’re new to this football stuff, the coverage map can be confusing. Heck, it’s confusing to me half the time! But there’s websites, they got these maps, showin’ you what game is on where. I ain’t gonna tell ya the name, ’cause I can’t remember it, but someone told me there’s a website called somethin’ like “506 sports” that has the maps. You gotta find it yourself, I ain’t your secretary.
If you wanna watch a game that ain’t on your local channel, well, that’s where it gets complicated. They got this thing called “NFL Sunday Ticket,” but you gotta pay extra for that. And there’s somethin’ else, “NFL RedZone,” that jumps around from game to game, showin’ you all the good parts. Sounds dizzyin’ to me.
And listen to this, you can even watch some games on your phone now! They call it “NFL+.” Everything’s on them phones these days. Can’t even have a quiet dinner without them things ringin’ and buzzin’. But if you wanna watch the game on your phone, you gotta pay for that too, nothin’s free these days.
So, you wanna watch the Eagles and Falcons on Monday night? That’s on ESPN, they say. And you can watch it on their apps and website too, if you pay for it. See, always gotta pay. They don’t give nothin’ away for free.
This here “NFL Sunday Ticket,” you gotta get it on YouTube now, they tell me. I don’t even know what a YouTube is, sounds like somethin’ you find in a drainpipe. But apparently, you gotta sign in with your Google account and all that rigmarole. Too much fussin’ around for me.
Anyway, that’s the deal with the NFL coverage map for Week 13. You find your area on that map, and it’ll tell you what game you get. Or, you know, just turn on the TV on Sunday and see what’s on. That’s what I do. Half the time, I don’t even know who’s playin’, but I watch it anyway. Gives me somethin’ to do while I’m waitin’ for my biscuits to bake.
