Alright, let’s talk about these fellas, the basketball players, you know, the ones wearin’ them Adidas shoes. Folks call ’em NBA players. Big fellas, runnin’ and jumpin’ all over the place.
Adidas and Them NBA Boys
Now, Adidas, that’s a shoe company, makes all sorts of sneakers and stuff. They got a bunch of these NBA fellas wearin’ their shoes, big names, ya know? Like that Damian Lillard fella. He’s a point guard for the Portland Trail Blazers. Good shooter, that one. Quick as a hiccup, he is. Always dribblin’ and zoomin’ around.
Then there’s James Harden. Another one with Adidas shoes. He’s got that big beard, looks like a woolly sheepdog’s tail. He used to play for the Houston Rockets, now he’s with the Los Angeles Clippers I think, or maybe somewhere else. Hard to keep track of them fellas, always movin’ around like restless chickens.

- Damian Lillard – Portland Trail Blazers
- James Harden – Los Angeles Clippers(I guess)
And there’s more, ya know? Lots more. That Donovan Mitchell kid, he’s with Adidas too. And that Trae Young, the one with the fancy passes. Looks like he’s throwin’ the ball with his eyes closed sometimes, but it always goes where it needs to. Kids these days, they got skills, I tell ya.
Oh, and don’t forget about Derrick Rose. He used to be real good, real fast, but then he got hurt, poor fella. Still wearin’ them Adidas shoes though. And that tall drink of water, Kristaps Porzingis, he’s with them too. He’s so tall, gotta duck when he walks through doorways, I bet.
Adidas Pickin’ Their Stars
Adidas, they like to pick certain fellas to be their main guys, ya know? Like that Anthony Edwards kid. They say he’s the face of Adidas basketball now. Young fella, but he’s got talent. Gonna be playin’ in the Olympics, they say. Big deal, that is.
It used to be that Zach LaVine fella was with Adidas, but not anymore. His deal ended, they say. These things happen, ya know? One day you’re in, next day you’re out. Like chickens in the coop, sometimes they get moved around.
Now, these other shoe companies, they got their own fellas too. Like that Michael Jordan fella, he’s got his own shoes, everybody knows that. And that Steph Curry fella, he’s with Under Armour. They got all sorts of athletes, not just basketball players. Football fellas, swimmers, golfers, all kinds.
Lots of Players, Lots of Shoes
It’s a whole big business, these shoes and these players. Millions of dollars, they say. Hard to imagine that much money, makes my head spin. But these fellas, they work hard, runnin’ and jumpin’ and all that. Gotta have good shoes for that, I guess.
And every year, there’s new fellas comin’ in, rookies they call ’em. Like those young’uns, Jared McCain, Dalton Knecht, Stephon Castle and Ja’Kobe Walter, they all just got signed up with Michael Jordan, not Adidas. Always new faces, always new shoes. It’s like a never-endin’ cycle, like the seasons, plantin’ and harvestin’, only with basketballs and sneakers.
So, there ya have it. Some of them NBA fellas wearin’ Adidas shoes. Good players, all of ’em. Makes for excitin’ games, that’s for sure. I don’t watch much, gets too loud for me, but my grandson he likes it, tells me all about it. And that’s enough for this old woman.
