Alright, let’s talk about this EDP Fall Kickoff thing, you know, the soccer thing. I heard it’s a big deal, lots of young’uns runnin’ around kickin’ a ball.

They had one last year, they call it “EDP Fall Kickoff NJ 2023”. And guess what? They’re doin’ it again this year, 2024! I saw somethin’ ’bout “EDP Fall Kickoff NJ 2024: Aug 24”. That means it’s comin’ up soon, get them kids ready! This year it is in East Brunswick, I think, that’s what the paper said.
Now, they got all sorts of teams, see? Boys mostly, from what I gather. The paper said somethin’ ’bout “Boys – Gold Tournament.” Sounds fancy, huh? They got teams from all over, Jersey mostly, ’cause they call it “EDP Fall Kickoff NJ”. But some come from other places too, you know, near and far. They said 64% percent were from Jersey, and almost all of ‘em, 99% are from around here, places nearby. Heck, they even had one team from far away, they called them “Foreign”. One percent of them were “Foreign”. That’s a lot of travelin’ just to kick a ball, but hey, to each their own.
This here tournament, it ain’t just some small-time thing, no sir. It’s the perfect way to get them kids ready for the fall soccer season. They say it’s the “perfect tournament to start your fall season”. So, it’s a big deal for these kids and their folks. They practice and practice, runnin’ and kickin’, just to get ready for this. And you know what? They even had some information online, all the things you need to know before you go. - It’s all organized, you know, not like when we were kids, just kickin’ the ball around in the field.
And this year, there’s another one too, the “EDP Cup Fall Showcase Boys 2024”. It’s gonna be a whole weekend full of games. They say “These Clubs are locked in for the EDP Cup Fall Showcase Boys 2024! Get ready for an action-packed weekend of competition, talent.” Sounds excitin’, right? Lots of action, lots of talented kids showin’ off their skills. So you got choices, the Kickoff and the Showcase, take your pick.
So, if you got kids who like soccer, or if you just like watchin’ them run around, this EDP Fall Kickoff thing sounds like the place to be. It’s a big to-do, lots of folks, lots of games. Just remember to bring a hat and some water, ’cause it’s still gonna be hot, even if it is almost fall. And cheer loud for them kids, they work hard out there!

You know, I never played soccer myself. Back in my day, we just played tag and hide-and-seek. But times change, I guess. Now these kids got all these fancy tournaments and uniforms.
