Alright, let’s gab a bit about these here 2024 WNBA Prizm cards. Now, I ain’t no fancy expert or nothin’, but I do know a thing or two about collectin’ stuff. My grandbaby, she loves these basketball ladies, so I been lookin’ into ’em.
First off, they got these things called “base sets.” Sounds important, I guess. It’s like the startin’ point, ya know? Like when you’re makin’ a quilt, you gotta start with the basic squares before you get to the fancy patterns. Same deal here, I reckon.
Then there’s all this talk about “draftin’,” “tradin’,” and “competin’.” Sounds like a whole lot of fuss to me, but the young’uns seem to like it. It’s like when they trade them marbles, only with pictures of these basketball girls on ’em. You get a pack, and inside, you find some cards. Some are regular, some are shiny, and some are real special, they say. They call ’em “parallels” and “inserts,” like they’re tryin’ to sound all highfalutin.
What’s in a Box?
I saw this thing called a “blaster box.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d use to blow up rocks, but it ain’t. It’s just a box full of card packs. Six packs, to be exact, and each pack has four cards. So, that’s… let me see now… six times four… that’s 24 cards! That’s a whole lotta cards, I tell ya. And they say you get some special “ice prizms” in there too. Sounds cold, don’t it?
- Six packs per box
- Four cards per pack
- Special “ice prizms” sometimes
They got all sorts of names on these cards. Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese… I ain’t never heard of ’em, but my grandbaby sure has. She keeps pointin’ at ’em and yellin’ their names. Guess they’re pretty good at throwin’ that ball around.
Where to Get ‘Em?
Now, where do you get these here cards? Well, seems like you can find ’em at Target, whatever that is. Some fancy store, I imagine. And you can probably get ’em online too. Everything’s online these days. You can buy a whole cow online if you wanted to, I bet.
Monopoly Prizm?
And what’s this “Monopoly Prizm” business? Sounds like they’re mixin’ up two different games. Like puttin’ biscuits and gravy on top of ice cream. Just don’t seem right. But hey, if the kids like it, who am I to judge?
Collectin’ and Tradin’
It all comes down to collectin’ and tradin’, I guess. You get your cards, you try to get the ones you want, and you trade with other folks to get the ones you’re missin’. It’s like when we used to swap recipes back in the day. Only instead of recipes, it’s pictures of basketball players. And ‘stead of makin’ a good pie, you’re makin’ a… a collection, I guess.
Are They Worth It?
Now, are these cards worth anythin’? I dunno. Some folks say they are, some folks say they ain’t. I reckon it depends on who you ask. If it makes my grandbaby happy, then I guess it’s worth somethin’. Happiness is worth more than all the money in the world, ain’t it?
So, that’s my take on these 2024 WNBA Prizm cards. They’re cards, they got basketball ladies on ’em, and the kids seem to like ’em. That’s all I need to know.
