Alright, let’s talk about this 2023 WNBA Prizm checklist, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, huh? I heard it’s got somethin’ to do with basketball cards. My grandson, he’s crazy about these things. Always tradin’ and showin’ ’em off.
Now, they tell me this set, the 2023 Panini Prizm WNBA set, it’s got a whole bunch of cards, like 150 of ’em. That’s a lot of cardboard, ain’t it? They say it came out October 4th. Don’t ask me which year, they all blend together these days.
What’s in the set, you ask? Well, I ain’t no expert, but from what I gather, there’s all sorts of shiny, colorful cards. They got names like Silver, Hyper, Orange… sounds like a rainbow threw up on ’em! There’s Blue Wave, Purple Ice, Red Wave… Lordy, who comes up with these names? My head’s spinnin’ already!
- Silvers: I guess these are the plain ones, but still shiny.
- Hypers: Probably extra shiny, maybe they sparkle or somethin’.
- Oranges: Well, they’re orange, I reckon.
- Blue Waves: Like the ocean, maybe? Wavy and blue, I guess.
- Purple Ice: Cold and purple, like a popsicle that fell on the ground.
- And a whole lot more: Red Wave, Purple, Blue Ice, Green Scope, Orange Wave, Purple Power, Navy Camo, Forest Camo, Gold, Gold Vinyl, White Knight, Black Finite, and Snakeskin. Snakeskin? Now that’s just plain weird.
They say some of these cards are real special, like the Gold ones, or the Black Finite ones. Probably worth a pretty penny, I bet. My grandson would know, he’s always lookin’ for the “rare” ones. Says they can be worth a lot of money someday. I tell him, “Money don’t grow on trees, you know!” But he don’t listen.
Now, what’s all the fuss about? Seems like this women’s basketball, it’s gettin’ real popular. Folks are watchin’ it on TV, goin’ to games… and collectin’ these here cards. And this set, it’s got some of the new players, like that Caitlin Clark girl and Angel Reese. Heard they’re pretty good.
And these WNBA cards? They’ve been around for a long time, they say. Almost thirty years! Who knew? I sure didn’t. Back in my day, we played with dolls and jacks. Times sure have changed.
So, if you’re into this whole card collecting thing, this 2023 WNBA Prizm set might be somethin’ you’d like. Me? I’ll stick to my knittin’. But if my grandson wants to show me his collection, I’ll pretend to be interested. That’s what grandmas do, right?
Just remember, don’t go spendin’ all your money on these things. Like I said, money don’t grow on trees! But if it makes you happy, and it ain’t hurtin’ nobody, then I guess it’s alright. Just don’t let it take over your life, you hear?
